Question answered:
• Teditor:
How do you guys deal with nickel and dime clients? Should you deal with them at all or
just respectfully decline work from these types of clients because sometimes its not worth
the struggle and headache in the end? And if you’re discounting yourself knowing the level
of work you do, is it worth feeling like a schmuck in the end and not enjoying the creative process of
the project while you’re doing the actual job? How do you say no, or should you say no?
Have a question about anything, ask us! Leave a comment or review and we will mention it on next week’s show!
Hey Guys,
Thanks for answering my question. I love the “For the Meal, not the Reel” expression and I’ve been unconsciously using that philosophy for many years but never heard it said that way, so thanks for putting it into words. It’s my new mantra now. I shall use it responsibly, “With great power, comes great responsibility”. LOL
Oh and on my name thing, although I liked how Stef pronounced my name “T” – “editor”, its actually pronounced saying it all together. My name is Ted, I am in Editor, so friends and coworkers over the years combine the two and have always called me TEDITOR, does that make sense? tED+EDitor=teditor. It’s even been used as “The Teditor” (sounded out with the voice of SNL’s
“The copy Man, at the Copy Machine, the Copinator, making Copies) – “The TEDITOR” – LOL
I love your blogs and they always spark a question for me each week. So here’s goes:
You guys work on multiple platforms, and I’m sure keeping up to date on the latest software updates, upgrades and versions etc. Have you ever had to upgrade or run updates on applications or changing out hardware altogether in the middle of a project? Is this bad to do? Have you ever lost projects or files or compromised the project at all by doing this?
Thanks again and keep up the great work! I hope someday I can afford to purchase all your stuff. It looks so good and you guys are so talented!
